The Pioneer Ridge Middle School seventh grade boys varsity basketball squad held visiting Louisburg to just 12 points and rolled to a 41-12 win in first round action of the Frontier League post season tournament, Feb. 20.
Pioneer, 10-3, led 10-0 after one quarter and 20-5 at intermission. The Jag team tacked on 21, second half points to secure the win.
“Our pressure defense was good against Louisburg,” said Coach Jeff Davidson. “The boys rotated on defense well and as a result got some easy layups.”
