Kyleigh Bobki and Wrenner Brown set new school record leading the Pioneer Ridge Middle School effort at the Celebration Park Cross Country Invitational last week.
In seventh grade girls’ competition, Bobki finished in 44th place, bringing home a new one mile record time of 7:07 minutes. Sadie Chorney followed finishing in 62nd place, Jennifer Hernandez took 70th place and Audra Lashley finished in 87th.
PRMS’ seventh grade boys’ team took first in the invitational. Brown’s school record-setting two mile run in 5:37 minutes took third place. He was joined in the medals by Grant Misse in eighth, and Zach Barnett in 10th. Other medalists included Caleb Calvin in 11th place, Isaac Hopkins in 12th, Owen Masaro in 20th, Dominic Roland in 21st place, and Quonton Walion in 22nd.
Top finishers for the PRMS eighth grade girls’ team were Hanna Thomas followed by Liz Guevara in 23rd place and Nageli Campos in 24th place.
For the eighth grade boys, Brett Harding took 10th, Patrick Shute took 35th place, and Andres Erives took 38th place.
