The Prairie Star 4-H club entered many projects this year. On Aug. 3, 2017, the club toured the fair and had the opportunity to view members’ projects.

Mason Butler made a planter box that he entered in wood working and received a blue ribbon. William and Nolan Quinn entered photos and herbs and received purples and blue ribbons. Morgan and Maci Shafer both entered birdhouses and received a blue and red ribbon. Elly VanRheen made a bench for woodworking. Alli Butler received a special award for the most creative craft for my clay dragon. Gavin and Charli McGill won grand champion and reserve grand champion for their fiber arts.

The most popular project by far for members is the foods project, and the club did very well receiving mostly purples and blue ribbons. The whole club really enjoyed seeing everyone’s projects that they worked very hard on.

The club also did a great job at the 4-H food stand on Saturday of the fair despite the downpour. We didn’t let it dampen our spirits!
