The monthly meeting of the Prairie Star 4-H club was held on Feb. 11, at the Johnson County Fair Grounds. Recreation before the meeting was led by Shay Stamps Lauren Molenda. The meeting was called to order by President Dewey Molenda. Pledges were led by Tyler Small and Cole Davis. Roll Call was, “What is your favorite movie?” There were 20 members present. The monthly joke/inspiration was presented by Madi Russell. There were no new guests.
The minutes from the January meeting were read and stand approved as read. Anthony Deters, club treasure reported the club has $875.60 as a balance. Tucker Davis reported that he had turned in the minutes to the Gardner News for the last meeting. Jesse Molenda asked for people to turn in pictures of any club events for the Historian’s book.
Marlene Gabriel reminded everyone about 4-H Days, which was held Feb. 16, and invited everyone to come watch other 4-Her’s for those not participating. The next Foods Meeting was held at Baptist Church on Feb. 25 after school. For those in photography, consider images of aging photo contest. Entries were due Feb. 23.
There was no program as the two presenters; Sierra and Savanna Muellner were unable to attend the meeting.
The meeting was adjourned by a motion from Hunter Burk and seconded by Tucker Davis.
The next meeting will be on March 11, at 7p.m., at the Johnson County fairgrounds.
