Prairie Moon 4-H

Jackson Farrell
Club reporter
2013 was a great year for the Prairie Moon 4-H Club out of Spring Hill, KS. Prairie Moon had a successful fundraiser in Lenexa at the Enchanted Forest event in October. 4-H’rs participated in a skit through the Enchanted Forest and sold home made baked goods. In November, on the popular Black Friday, Prairie Moon rang bells for the Salvation Army at the Gardner Walmart. In December, Prairie Moon focused on giving back to the community by participating in a clothes and toy drive for the needy and singing at a local nursing home.
In 2014, Prairie Moon is looking forward to another exciting year. Already they’ve participated in Club Days (a county wide 4-H event) on February 8th. Prairie Moon members participated in a group dance and other varies competitions throughout the day. Now the Prairie Moon 4-H Club is looking forward to getting their projects started for the Johnson County Fair in July.
