Members of the Gardner Planning Commission approved a calendar for 2013 in a very brief meeting on Nov. 27.
Next year, the commission will continue to meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month, with the exception of January. Once every seven years, the January meeting is moved to accommodate the Gardner City Council, who meets on the Tuesday following Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Their meeting coincides with the planning commission’s normal schedule.
In January, the planning commission will meet on the fifth Tuesday.
In other business, the commission:
• approved the construction of a new shed at Gardner Energy, 1450 E. Santa Fe. The shed will be used for storage.
• tabled a site plan for First Light Church, to be located on the north side of west Santa Fe near the intersection of Poplar Street. According to planner Amy Kynard, the church is working on a significant re-design of its site plan.
