Plank finalist for Buchanan Award

 Gardner Edgerton High School senior Matt Plank was recently a finalist for the 21rst Annual Buck Buchanan Memorial football award, presented by the KC Chiefs ambassadors and given to the best lineman-linebacker in the Missouri and Kansas top two classes.
Elijah Lee of Blue Springs won the award while Plank, Braden Smith of Olathe South and Mamu Tamiautusa of Fort Osage were runnerup finalist.
Plank was a three-year starting linebacker for GEHS and finished this season with 104 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, and one sack for the 6-4 6A District Champions.
