Pippitt scores 5 touchdowns as Jaguars remain undefeated

Jonas Pippitt scored 5 touchdowns leading the Pioneer Ridge eighth grade varsity Jags to a 50-24 home win against Eudora on Oct. 2.
With the win, Pioneer improved to 6-0 and put their undefeated record on the line against cross town rival Wheatridge Oct 9.  at the district stadium.  Results were not available at press time.
“We played real well offensively scoring on every possession but one,”  said  coach  Kevin Collins.  Defensively, the kids did a great job against a very talented quarterback. The kids were fired up for the game and it showed.”
Pippitt, who had nearly 200 rushing yards, scored on runs of 15, 15, 19, 20, and 35. Conner Boyt added a 30 yard TD and reserve Quarterback  Zach Mitchell closed the scoring with a  10 yard run.
Paving the way with great up front blocking were  Marshall Carpenter,  Jared Highfill, Nic Salpas,  Nathan Pearson,  Sam Stranathan,  Zach Bass,  and Randy Fruit.
Bass turned in another top defensive effort as well as Boyt, Kolbee Finnell and Salpas.
