Zach Pickett carded an 80 to lead the Broncos at the season-opening Gardner Invitational, April 4.
Pickett earned a seventh-place medal and helped Spring Hill finish third out of 14 teams.
“To place third at this invite is quite an accomplishment,” said Coach Rick O’Neil. “I was real pleased with the effort.”
Also earning a medal was Tyler Hartsock, whose score of 84 was good enough for 15th place.
Other Bronco scores were Sam Huffman (86), Cody Madsen (87), and foreign exchange student Sebastian Wollheim (107).
Ottawa won the invite. Piper took second followed by the Broncos.
Spring Hill got right back to the links April 11 at the Paola Invitational.
