Mr. and Mrs. Claus are coming to Gardner

Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’ll arrive just in time to see the holiday lights of Cornerstone Park sparked.
The 23rd Annual Christmas in the Park kicks off with the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, Dec. 2. The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. Local students will perform seasonal music and Mayor Chris Morrow will greet Santa before flipping the switch to turn on thousands of lights at the park. The event is free.
Santa will continue to stop into town throughout the holiday season, greeting guests at his workshop at Cornerstone Park on weekends.
He will also make a special appearance at an All-You-Can-Eat Pancake breakfast on Dec. 14. Chris Cakes will cater the event and children can make a Christmas craft and have their pictures taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The breakfast will be at 8 a.m. on the Johnson County Fairgrounds.
Tickets for the event are on sale at city hall.
