Several Moonlight Road intersections north of Main Street were shutdown Sept. 8 as northbound traffic was re-routed from the west side of Moonlight Road to new lanes on the east.
A few intersections remain closed today and are scheduled to remain so. The final Moonlight intersections to re-open — Parmay Way and 167th Street — are expected to open by Sept. 11, however Gardner Public Works Director David Greene told city council members that rain could extend project deadlines.
The intersection at Lincoln Lane remained open so drivers could access businesses on Moonlight Road. The Madison Street intersection is scheduled to be closed through Friday, Sept. 10. Intersections at Parma Way and 167th Terrace are scheduled to re-open Saturday, Sept. 11. The construction project is dependent on weather so intersection closures could last longer than anticipated.
