A Gardner man is out on bail after his arrest for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, criminal threat and unlawful discharge of a firearm earlier this month.
Gardner Police arrested Brent Lawrence, 48, on Dec. 1.
According to police reports, officers responded to an armed disturbance in the 700 block of south Ash Street at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 1. The domestic dispute was between Lawrence and his adult son.
“Upon arrival, officers found a gentleman armed in the front of a residence,” Ilena Spalding, public information officer, said.
Witnesses told police that Lawrence had fired two shots into the air prior to officers arriving.
Officers were able to take Lawrence into custody without incidence. He was taken to New Century Adult Detention Center and charged.
He was released from the detention center on $15,000 bond on Dec. 7.
