Merriam officers located a missing teenager early Tuesday, April 28. He was taken into policy custody and taken to a juvenile detention center.
Colton Cisneros had been missing since April 19 in Gardner. His disappearance left his mother, Christy Cisneros seeking answers in southern Johnson County and in Franklin County for  more than a week.
Colton Cisneros was last seen on April 19 in Gardner.
“He was last seen on Sunday in Gardner,” Christy Cisneros said. “His friends say he got into a green truck. They didn’t know who he left with.”
Christy said  she believed Colton had runaway, and she said was worried about his state of mind.
Police officer John Blair said Wellsville officers pursued every lead they received.
“We are working on several leads, and we continue to get leads in,” Blair said, prior to finding Colton. “We’re working them now. We have traveled to several different places and made contact with several different people.”
Anytime a juvenile is missing, it’s a dangerous situation, Blair said. “Just being a missing juvenile is dangerous enough.”
