Miller, Smith lead Neosho to world series

Former Spring Hill High School standouts Jordan Miller and Evan Smith recently helped Neosho County Community College to the Junior College World Series.
Neosho County concluded the season with a school record 49-16 and sixth-place finish in the Junior College World Series.
Neosho advanced to the series defeating Coffeyville 3-1, and Cowley County, 1-0. Neosho then lost 14-1 to Iowa Western, the nation’s number one-ranked team most of the season.
Miller also was named to the Eastern JuCo All-Conference team. He earned second team honors as an outfielder and third leading hitter on the team with a .354 average.
Smith played catcher for Neosho. He participated in 10 games and had one start. He collected two hits and had one RBI.
