Mayor’s Christmas for Children program gears up

Applications for the 2012 Mayor’s Christmas for Children Program will be available at Gardner City Hall and the Johnson County Multi-Service Center starting on Oct. 8.
The program is open to families who may need assistance providing gifts for their children this Christmas.
Children from pre-school age through grade 12, living within the USD 231 school district are eligible. Qualifying income guidelines apply.
Screenings for the program will be on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 3 and Nov. 10 in the Gardner City Hall lobby.
Participants must bring necessary documents showing proof of residency and proof of income to the screenings.
