Man struck by train

A man escaped serious injury after being struck by a train near 167th and U.S. 169 Highway on Sept. 15.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, the man was struck just before 3 a.m. as he was walking on the tracks.
He was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim’s name has not been released.
The sheriff’s office is assisting BNSF police in the investigation.
