Mabry scores 15 points in Jag victory

Dylan Mabry fired in 15 points leading the Pioneer Ridge Middle School seventh grade JV boys basketball squad to a 57-16 win at Louisburg last week.
“The boys were challenged to play their best basketball and really stepped up,” said Coach John Cox. “I was real proud of the effort.”
Pioneer led 30-11 at halftime and stepped defensive efforts limiting Louisburg to just five, second-half points to seal the win.
Besides Mabry, Carson Williams added 10 points, and Andrew Adams had nine points. Drew Nelson had eight points; Carlos Gaeta, five points.
Evan Hunt and Patrick Moll had four points, and Colton Cassida, two points.
“The boys continue to play well and have the number one seed with a 6-0 league record and 11-0 mark headed into the post season tourney,” added Cox.
