Lois Nadine Milligan

Lois Nadine Milligan, 91, of Gardner, Kan., passed away July 12, 2013, at her home.

Lois was born February 22, 1922 in Edgerton, Kan. to George C. and Clara Mina (Hoffman) Knabe. She graduated from Gardner High School.

Lois married Robert Clayson Milligan on Oct. 10, 1952 in Arkansas.

She was a receptionist for Sunflower Ordinance and later sold Avon products in Gardner for over 20 years.

Lois enjoyed nature and traveling. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert in 1994.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Joyce Klein and Steve, of Overland Park, Kan., Helen Winkler, of Belton, Mo. and Susan Keegan and Dan, of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren Michelle, Holly, Stacey, Joni, Heather, Janelle, Danelle, Chris and Katie; great grandchildren Rebecca, Emily, Jeremy, Joshua, Jayson, Zachary, Allyson, Abby, Jacob, Hanna, Haley, Kylee, and Alex; and four great great grandchildren Daniel, Amaya, Jude and Milo.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Gardner Cemetery. She will lie in state at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, (913)856-7111 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Olathe Hospice.
