Local residents participate in horseshoe tournament

Four local residents competed in the Kansas Horseshoe Pitchers Association state tournament in Topeka, held Aug. 31 through Sept. 1.
Ed Shanley, Edgerton, placed third in the Elder’s Class B division, Gene Brite, Gardner, placed fifth in Men’s Class C; Robert Knabe, Edgerton, placed eigth in Men’s Class; and Kip Rush, Wellsville, placed fifth in Men’s Class B.
