Local church to host Trunk or Treat event

Local church, Indian Creek Community Church, hosts annual Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, Oct. 27, in the parking lot of Wheatridge Middle School. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
Trunk or Treat is a safe and entertaining way for families to enjoy Halloween. Community members decorate cars in family-friendly Halloween themes and hand out free candy. Kids walk through the parking lot with their parents, in costume, to fill their buckets full of goodies. Trunk or Treat is a one-stop-shop to trick or treat.
“Every October we have the privilege of hosting one of the best parties in our city. Last year, we hosted over 1,000 people, and this year believe that we’ll have the same or more,” explained Ben Stears, Gardner Campus Pastor at Indian Creek Community Church.
In addition to the free candy from families hosting trunks, the local church provides complimentary popcorn and hot chocolate. The church encourages family-friendly costumes for kids and parents.
