REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

GARDNER COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE

The City of Gardner, Kansas, is seeking creative and innovative proposals from qualified planning consultant firms for the purpose of revising and updating the City of Gardner’s Comprehensive Plan.

The City of Gardner’s existing Comprehensive Plan was adopted in April 2003 and has been updated once since its adoption.  Due to the unanticipated intermodal facility, the rapid growth Gardner has experienced over the past two decades, and several challenges to accomplishing the goals and objectives identified by previous versions of the Comprehensive Plan, the City has determined that the Plan needs significant changes to meet Gardner’s future needs.

The full text of the RFP may be viewed and downloaded at http://www.gardnerkansas.gov/Comprehensive_Plan.  Responders are responsible for reading and following all rules and guidelines in the full RFP.

For those interested in submitting a proposal, a pre-proposal conference will be held on March 18, 2013, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm for the purpose of discussing the terms, conditions and requirements of the RFP and to answer questions.  Please contact Cindy Weeks, Gardner Community Development Department, at 913-856-0913 or cweeks@gardnerkansas.gov if you intend to attend the pre-proposal conference.  The pre-proposal conference will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 120 E Main St., Gardner, Kansas.  Attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged.  Those interested in responding to the RFP but unable to attend the March 18 conference may arrange for a conference by phone for March 19-21, 2013, by contacting Cindy Weeks at the above phone number or email address no later than noon, March 18, 2013.  Requests for a conference to be held after March 21 will not be considered.

For all questions about access to the RFP please contact Cindy Weeks, Gardner Community Development Department at 913-856-0913 or cweeks@gardnerkansas.gov.
