NOTICE OF HEARING ON
PRELIMINARY PLAT

Case No.: P-02-18-13

 

            Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission of the City of Edgerton, Kansas, will hold a Public Hearing at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Edgerton Community Building, 404 E. Nelson Street, Edgerton, Kansas at 7:00 p.m. at which time and place the public may be heard in regards to the preliminary plat of the following described real property, situated in the City of Edgerton, Johnson County, Kansas to wit: 

 

The Allen Group of Kansas City, LLC, agent for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, owner, of property located approximately at the northwest corner of 191st St and Waverly Rd requests a preliminary plat on the following real property:

 

Legal Description:

All that part of the Northeast Quarter, Southeast Quarter and Southwest Quarter of Section 34, Township 14 South, Range 22 East, Johnson County, Kansas, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Beginning at the Southeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 34; thence South 88 degrees 09 minutes 02 seconds West along the South line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 34, a distance of 2,633.75 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Quarter Section, being also the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 34; thence South 88 degrees 10 minutes 27 seconds West along the South line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 34, a distance of 360.36 feet to the Southeast corner of the tract of land described as the J. A. Pearce Tract in the 1892 Re-Survey of said Section 34; thence North 02 degrees 16 minutes 32 seconds West along East line of said J. A. Pearce Tract, a distance of 1,813.21 feet; thence

North 53 degrees 52 minutes 24 seconds East, no longer along the East line of said J. A. Pearce Tract, a distance of 3,431.72 feet; thence

North 88 degrees 03 minutes 39 seconds East, perpendicular to the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 34, a distance of 166.20 feet to a point on the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section .34; thence

South 01 degree 56 minutes 21 seconds East along the East line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 34, a distance of 1,094.37 feet to the Southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter; being also the Northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 34; thence South 01 degrees 56 minutes 05 seconds East along the East line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 34, a distance of 2,651.94 feet to the Point of Beginning.

 

Containing a net area of 8,346,780 square feet or 191.616 acres, more or less.
