Law enforcement issues alert for missing Olathe toddler

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is asking for assistance in an effort to locate a missing child.

Lana-Leigh Bailey, an 18-month-old female toddler, 2-feet tall, 30-pounds, Lana-Leigh Baileywith  light brown hair and blue eyes, was last seen on May 1 in Olathe on her way to rural Franklin county with her mother, Kaylie Bailey. The pair traveled in a black, 2007, four-door Toyota Corolla bearing Kansas Tag 618DAA, with a tag on front saying ‘Shawna’s toy’ and duct tape on the passenger side mirror.

Franklin County authorities today made a positive identification that one of three bodies found at a rural residence near Ottawa, Kan. One is Kaylie Bailey.

A suspect is in custody and Kaylie’s vehicle has been recovered in Emporia, Kan., but the child is still missing.
