Larry Edward Bryan, 58, of Newton, Kan., formerly of Gardner (Class of ’72), passed away April 13, 2013 at KansasChristianHome.
Larry was born July 5, 1954 in Kansas City, Mo. to Louis and Imogene (Meyer) Bryan. He attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas.
He married Crystal Deffenbaugh on Sept. 23, 1978 in Grandview, Kan..
Larry was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God and served churches in Lenexa, Kan.; North Platte, Neb.; Tulsa, Okla.; Claremore, Okla.; Beloit, Kan.; Louisburg, Kan.; and Denver, Colo. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marsha Bryan Voth.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Amy Bryan Richards of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandson, Kingsley Alexander Richards of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Terry Bryan of Newton, Kan.; nieces Kelly Bryan Nunley and Jodi Bryan of Newton, Kan., and Bethany Voth Maris of Minneapolis, Minn.; nephew Cody Bryan of Newton, Kan.; foster family, Archie and Linda Niccum of Gardner, Scott Niccum of Edgerton, Jennifer Dorsey of Fountain, Colo., and Laura Henson of Alma, Ark.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m., April 20, 2013 at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 12400 Antioch, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, April 19, at the church. Private family inurnment in the afternoon at the BraziltonCemetery, Brazilton, Kan. Memorial contributions may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
