The lady Blazer softball team continued its winning ways with a doubleheader sweep at Bishop Miege last week.
“It was a night of great pitching, defense and timely hitting,” said Coach Joane Calvin.
Behind the performance of pitcher Abby Cox, the Blazers ran away with a 12-1 victory in the opener.
Meanwhile, the offense was led by a perfect 5-5, seven RBI plate performance by Ashlyn Anderson.
Sydney Anderson and Mikayla Galvin had three hits and Sydney Deitz hit a home run.
It was the same story in game two as GEHS posted a 12-0 win.
This time Hailey Drawbough was the winning pitcher and Cassidy Greer collected five hits.
Now 10-4, GEHS has a doubleheader at Desoto before returning home to conclude the season.
May 10th is senior night as Sydney Anderson and Drawbaugh will be recognized.
