Solid pitching and defense were the keys to a Lady Blazer sweep at De Soto last week.
In the opener, GEHS’ Haley McGuire was the winning pitcher in an 8-3 win. Sydney Anderson went 3-4 with two homeruns. Kiana Baderdeen also added a solo homerun.
Meanwhile, the defense held De Soto scoreless until the seventh inning.
It was the same story in game two as GEHS held on for a 5-4 win.
This time, Abby Cox was the winning pitcher and got offensive support from Mikayla Galvin, Baderdeen, Sydney Anderson, Haley McGuire, and Kennedy Meyer.
