Taking advantage of near perfect weather, the Gardner Edgerton High School Lady Blazers set several new personal bests at the University of Kansas relays last weekend.
Taylor Claybon set a new personal best in the 100-meter hurdles and Abby Buie did the same with a 9-feet, 10-inch vault  in the pole vault. Miranda Tenove set a new personal best in the 800 meters.
Claybon led the 300-meter hurdles race until the end but crashed on the final hurdle and settled for 12th overall.
The Lady Blazers finished day one with a second-place finish in the 1600 Sunflower Showdown relay.
On the second day of competition, Tenove took 11th in the 2000-meter steeple chase.
