Kelly Taylor, 53, of Gardner, Kan. passed away July 18, 2012 at his home. 

Kelly was born Jan. 9, 1959 in Tampa, Fla. to Gary R. and Lou McKinney Taylor. 

Kelly went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio.  He served 10 years in the United States Army as a Sergeant.  He worked for KGP Corp. as an Application Developer for 2 ½ years in New Century, Kan. 

Kelly married Lori Sykes on Oct. 23, 2003 in Shawnee, Kan. 

Kelly had a great passion for sports, especially the Cleveland Browns football team, and he was also interested in computers.  He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father.

Kelly is survived by his wife of 8 years, Lori; mother and stepfather,  Lou and Ted Stanfield, Warrensburg, Mo.; stepmother, Shirley Taylor, Cambridge, Ohio; children, Ross and Carissa Taylor, Patrick Taylor, Zanesville, Ohio, and Elizabeth Sykes, Gardner, Kan.; siblings, Christine Anchak, Novi, Mich., Michael and Sue Taylor, Warrensburg, Mo.; three nephews and one niece.  A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., July 21, 2012, at the Gardner American Legion Hall, 315 Meadowbrook Circle Gardner, KS, 66030.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com.
