KDOT project reduces lanes on 56 Highway

A Kansas Department of Transportation project closed lanes on the U.S. 56 Highway bridge over Interstate 35 in Gardner. Construction began on July 14.
The work will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction until the project is complete. State officials anticipate the project will be completed in October.
The $318,318 in upgrades will include replacement of the bridge’s expansion joint, and patching and polymer overlay on the bridge decks.
