K-State offices conduct winter ranch school

OLATHE, Kans — Johnson, Leavenworth and Miami County K-State Research and Extension are cooperating to conduct a winter ranch management school for area cattle producers. The school will be Jan. 8, from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Kansas State University Olathe campus, 22201 W. Innovation Dr. The deadline for registering is Jan. 2
Topics relevant to the beef cattle industry include pasture recovery, feeding through the winter and fertilizing pastures.
The cost is $10 and includes a steak dinner. Door prizes will also be given out. Sponsors for this event are County Mile, Farmers Union Co-Op, Purina and Vigortone.
Registration may be made at the Johnson, Leavenworth or Miami County Extension offices.
