The Gardner Edgerton High School junior varsity boys basketball team dropped a hard-fought 76-62 decision at Bishop Miege High School last Friday night.
GEHS, 4-14, trailed by just three points at the half thanks to a strong defense and excellent offensive execution. However, it wouldn’t be enough to topple Eastern Kansas League Bishop Miege. The Miege team regrouped in the second half scoring 39 points in the Blazer JV team’s season finale.
Despite the loss, Jordan McIntyre led the scoring with 18 points, while Jon Bangert had 15 points. Eli Reynolds had 10 points, Zach Bass and Jacob Garrett nabbed seven points apiece. Michael Trivilino netted three and Trey Jackson scored two points.
