Johnson County Visioning Committee plans public forums

Two community forums are scheduled this week by the Johnson County 2030 Citizens Visioning Committee as part of its Community Outreach campaign to gather citizen input as it finalizes its comprehensive report by the end of this year.

The community forums will take place:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Sylvester Powell Community Center, 6200 Martway, Mission.
  • Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Johnson County Administration Building, Room 200, 111 South Cherry Street, in downtown Olathe.

Both public events begin at 5:30 p.m.

The committee is required to submit a final report to the Board of County Commissioners that identifies specific goals to be achieved by 2030 along with associated strategies and action plans. The “Johnson County 2030 Living Our Vision” report is expected to be completed and released before 2011 ends.
