Jo Co Sheriff deputies assist in capture of MO evaders

Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies, Lenexa police and Kansas Highway patrol assisted in the capture of two males evading Missouri police on Feb. 4.
Jackson County, Mo. deputies followed a stolen vehicle into Johnson County at around 9:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
The chase began in Lone Jack, Mo. where police responded to two calls of suspicious activity. When police attempted to stop a white SUV for questioning, the vehicle fled the scene.
Deputies followed the vehicle into Johnson County with the assistance of a helicopter.
Lenexa police used stop sticks and the vehicle eventually stopped along a wooded area on Kansas Highway 10.
One suspect was taken into custody there. A second suspect was later located and taken into custody without incident.
