Jo Co Christmas Bureau in need of coats

The holiday shop serves 12,500 low-income Johnson County residents and hopes to provide a coat to each family member this holiday season. To date, they only have 5,000 coats.
Shop officials are seeking coats in every size including infants, childrens, teens, women and men. They gladly accept new or gently worn coats that are clean and in good repair. Monetary or other in-kind donations are also appreciated.
Coats may be donated at the Holiday Shop at the Great Mall in Olathe. The shop is located in the former Steve & Barry’s store in the southwest end of the mall at 20050 W. 151st Street in Olathe.
The shop’s remaining hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Dec. 5 – Dec. 9, and from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.
