Jerome Crandall King, 79, previously of Scottsdale, Ariz. passed away February 1st at Royal Terrace Nursing Home and Rehab in Olathe, Kan.
Jerome was born November 30, 1936 in Bellevue, Pa. to Boyd Walker and Lela Vivian (Crandall) King. He grew up in Bellevue, where he graduated from high school. Jerome then went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Engineering Supervision from McHenry County Community College in Illinois. He worked for Motorola as an Industrial Engineering Supervisor. After working for Motorola he started driving for a car service and came to enjoy it. Jerome was an avid Arizona Cardinals fan and was a season ticket holder for almost two decades, taking his sons and then his grandkids to many games. He was also a gun enthusiast and enjoyed playing blackjack. Jerome’s three loves in life were cards, women and booze. He will be missed by family and friends.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Boyd King, Jr. and Leland King. He is survived by his children: Tammy and Kenny Carnahan of Springfield, Mo, Robert and Catrina King of Troy, Mo, Jerri and Rob Day of Lewisville, Tex and William and Amanda King of Gardner, Kan; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and his treasured friend, Miss Larry.
