Jay Dean Stacy

Jay Dean Stacy, 81, ofGardner,Kan., passed away Aug. 24, 2012 atOlatheMedicalCenter.

Jay was born Feb. 16, 1931 inGlenpool, John and Golda Stacy. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Jay married Bessie Collett on Aug. 31, 1954 inTulsa,Okla.They lived inWyomingand moved toGardnerin 1966.

Jay worked for the GSA as a contract negotiator and estimator; retiring in 1991.

He was a member ofRedeemerLutheranChurch,Olathe,KS. Jay enjoyed being outdoors; especially fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Mary Johnson, Victor Stacy and John Stacy.

Jay is survived by his wife, Bessie, of the home; children: Wes and Terri Stacy, Gardner; Marlene Stacy and Sharon Jones, both of Sugar Creek, Mo.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and sister, Nancy Tyler, Broken Arrow, Okla.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 30, 2012 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS(913) 856-7111. Inurnment at a later date in BixbyCemetery, Bixby, Okla.Condolences may be left at
