Jail cell death under investigation

Authorities are investigating the death of an Overland Park man.
Matthew C. Worsham was found unresponsive in his Johnson County jail cell on Aug. 3.
Johnson County MedAct responded and initiated life-saving measures. They were able to revive the 30-year-old man. He was transported to Olathe Medical Center where he later passed away.
Worsham was serving a 48-hour sentence through the Leawood Municipal Court for Driving Under the Influence. He was scheduled to be released at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 3.
He was released after being transported to Olathe Medical Center.
