Leading from start to finish, the Pioneer Ridge 7th grade varsity boys basketball team posted a 33-17 home win over Baldwin, Jan. 23rd.
Pioneer, 3-2, jumped to an 18-0 first quarter lead and went up 27-7 by halftime. From there, Pioneer coasted to its third win of the season.
“Our back court pressure was real good,” said coach Jeff Davidson. The kids did a good job of rotating on defense and closing the passing lanes.
For the second straight game, Corbin Schrack led the way. He scored 13 points, while Lucas Soza added eight points.
Brody Marshall had six, Matt Beyer, Tyler Chafee and Tyler Rollwagen had two apiece.
Pioneer faces a big test this week with three games in five days.
