Placing its offense in high gear, the Pioneer ridge seventh grade boys varsity basketball team posted wins versus Eudora and Ottawa last weekend.
In the opener, PRMS took a 43-26 win versus Eudora thanks to 16 points from Brooks Langrehr and 13 from Hayden Dyer.
“The kids are really playing well as a team right now,” said Coach Jeff Davidson. I was real proud of our effort.”
Other scorers were Kohlton McCarty, three points, James Cox and Caden George each had two, while Kody Hughes had one.
In the second game, PRMS took a close 47-42 win over Ottawa.
PRMS went up 14-10 after one quarter and 22-18 at halftime the Jags held a slim 25-24 second half advantage to claim victory.
“The difference in the game came defensively,” said Davidson. We were able to make some key stops.”
Dyer and Cox combined for 25 points. Cayden Elder and Tye Wood had seven points. Brooks Langrehr had six points and Kody Hughes had two points.
