Jack Kale Thomson, 87, ofGardner,Kan.passed away Nov. 24, 2012 at his home.

Jack was born March 6, 1925 inIrving,Kan.to Fredrick Kale and Katherine Margaret (Lupton) Thomson. He graduated fromMarysvilleKansasHigh Schoolin 1943.

Jack served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Jack married DaVise Outhier May 18, 1951 inBeatrice,Neb.He joined the Kansas Highway Patrol in 1955, retiring in 1985.

He grew up in Marysville, lived inMulvane,Kan.from 1956 -1972 and then toGardnerin 1972. He was a member of the Gardner American Legion, Mulvane Masonic Lodge and Retired Troopers Association. Jack will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Sean Thomson in Dec. 2011 and great-grandson, Isaac Halford.

Jack is survived by his wife, DaVise, of the home; son, Jon-David Thomson, of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; daughter, Kelly and husband, Ray Juiliano, of Kansas City, Kan..; daughter-in-law, Deborah Thomson, of Wellsville, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Kale, Cody, David, Tricia, Teresa and Jeff; two great grandchildren, Katelyn and Lauren.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Nov. 30, 2012 at Bruce Funeral Home,Gardner,KS(913)856-7111. Inurnment with military honors at 1:30 p.m. atFt.LeavenworthNationalCemetery,Ft. Leavenworth,Kan.following the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made toBoysTown, ofOmaha, Neb. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com.
