The 8th grade Huskies had an impressive win over Paola Panthers
With the first possession the offense drove 60 yards and cap it off with a five yard touchdown run by Zach Collins. Paola answered with a drive of their own taking the lead 8-6.
The following kickoff return for a touchdown of 85 yards by Lucas Anderson was the Husky’s answer to take the lead back. Later Anderson added another rushing touchdown. As the Panther battled back into the game Huskies took to the air. A 65 yard touchdown pass from Keeghan Troutman to Will Shuler put an added cushion to the score.
The Huskies’ defense played a great game against the visiting Paola Panthers. The entire defensive line played well all game and anchored in the middle by John Ashens who clogged up the middle all night and added a fumble recovery for the defenses only takeaway of the night. Will Schuler and Justice Burton provided a solid pass rush as well. The game was sealed with great coverage in the secondary not allowing them to score before time expired.
The Huskies gain a great victory 28-22
