Hanson to play Volleyball at Central Methodist

After a stellar career at Spring Hill high school, Melody Hanson will continue to play volleyball at Fayette, Missouri this fall. She recently made it official signing a national letter of intent in front of family and friends in the school’s library.
Hanson was a four year letter in Volleyball and Basketball in Spring Hill. Last spring she earned second team All-Frontier honors in both sports.
Hanson, a setter, helped the Lady Broncos to a five hundred record fall action. This summer she has been involved with the South Wind Rising volleyball club of Olathe. The team recently placed 26th out of 48 teams in a national tournament in Dallas, Texas.
Academically, Hanson held a 3.86 at Spring Hill- the top ten percent in her class. She will pursue a degree in Athletic Training and hopes to add a graduate degree in Physical Therapy later.
She is the daughter of Rick and Kim Hanson of Spring Hill.
