Michael Hanson and Michael Gallagher paced the Spring Hill cross country effort at the Tonganoxie Invitational, Sept. 18.
Taking advantage of near perfect conditions, Hanson finished in 3rd place in a 5K time of 17:12. Gallagher claimed 4th in a time of 17:17. Alex Reynolds placed 43rd in 20:15. Sam Fenton finished 44th in 20:19 and Jake Putman was 47th in 20:41. Taylor Burton finished 55th in 21:30.
In the girls varsity 4K race, Julia Schnell finished 23rd in 16:52. Michaela Gustafson took 27th in 17:03 and Macy Burke was 31rst in 17:26.. Brooke Smith claimed 32nd in 17:28. Bri Hamilton was 46th in 18:39 and Lilly Smith took 48th in 19:19.
In the boys JV 5K race, Luke Weaver took 43rd in 21:32 and Cole Hrabe was 78th in 24:02.
In the girls 4k race, Meg Sharemet finished 7th place in a time of 17:56 and Taylor Hayden was 10th in 18:06. Bailey Van Vlack was 12th in 18:24.
“Overall, I was real pleased with the performance,” said coach Rick O’Neil. We showed a lot of improvement.”
