Gardner Edgerton High School honors alumni from Gardner High School and Edgerton High School celebrating their 50th high school reunion during graduation ceremonies each year. This year, the school recognized members of the class of 1964.
There were 51 members of the GHS class of 1964. Of those, nine are deceased. EHS graduated five class members in 1964. Twenty-three members of both classes attended GEHS’ graduation on May 17.
They include Joyce Asher Brecheisen, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Howard Brecheisen of Bartlesville; Sherry Bush Laquet of Spring Hill; Richard Canaan of Merriam, Kansas; Earl Dolisi, of St. James, Missouri; Mary Dorsey Whittaker of Gardner; Robert Eaton Jr., of Gardner; Judith Fleming Bono of Mooresville, Missouri; Karen Freund Clark of Rhome, Texas; Bob Fuller of Lenexa, Kansas; Carolyn Gooch Holland of Lenexa, Kansas; Barbara Klamm Hopson of Gardner; Betty Klamm-Wiseman of Spring Hill; Bill McKaig of Grandview, Missouri; Carol Medearis Sands of Ottawa, Kansas; Myrna Stricker Morrison of Spring Hill; Patricia O’Connor Cordell of Gardner; J.L. Overcash Jr., of Ocklawaha, Florida; Richard Ruiz of Lillian, Alabama; Charlotte Slemp Repp of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Judy Thurman Meek of Anthony, Kansas. Edgerton High grads in attendance included Clifford Fesmire of Edgerton and Louise Knabe Sawyer of Ottawa.
The GHS class also honored the service of David Velasquez who died in the Vietnam War on Feb. 6, 1966.
