George Mott, 79, of Edgerton, KS, passed away October 8, 2010 at Meadowbrook Rehab Hospital, Gardner, KS.
A lifetime Johnson County resident, George was born July 9, 1931 in rural Gardner to Nelson and Irene (Eiseman) Mott. He graduated from Edgerton High School. George served in the US Army in Korea. George married Helen Louise (Wilson) Rogers on February 15, 1966 in Edgerton. He was a hard working man. George was a custodian at Johnson County Community College. He also worked for J E Dunn Construction and was self employed doing home repairs. He enjoyed spending time in his garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Beth Roberts. George is survived by his wife Helen of the home; children Thomas S Rodgers and Donna of Olathe, Mary Ann Rogers of Edgerton, Bradley V. Rogers and Dee Wheeler of Enid, OK, and Ricky L. Rogers and Sharon of Olathe; sister Dorothy Bailey and Wayne of Olathe; brother Joe Mott and Natalie of Jefferson City, MO; brother in law Bill Roberts of Edgerton; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Anatomical Donation to KU Medical Center.
