GEHS takes 5th place at EKL meet

Gardner Edgerton High School seniors Jami DeGrande and Katie Daniels led the Blazer gold effort in the third round of the Eastern Kansas League tournament at Swope Park Golf Course, Oct. 5.
Daniels carded a 94 and DeGrande, 102, both personal best scores. As a team, GEHS finished fifth place with a three-round team total of 1291.
“I was real pleased with our effort, especially our seniors,” said Coach Amy Van Rheen. “Great finish for our first year in the league.”
Rounding out the scores were Jacque Buckingham, freshman, 111, and junior Kelsey Schaefer, 120.
