GEHS students compete in Job Olympics at JCCC

Gardner Edgerton High School Lifeskills and Communication students competed in the annual Job Olympics at Johnson County Community College earlier this month. The Job Olympics pitted students from 34 Kansas City area schools in competition in a variety of events designed to help develop skills for acquiring and maintaining employment.
According to a brief presented to USD 231 board of education members, students competed in events like computer applications, towel folding, job applications, job interviews and phone etiquette.
GEHS students in the Teens Offering Peers Support (TOPS) program attended the event and assisted.
