The music of James Bond wowed judges at the Emporia State University Marching Festival.
Drum majors Jayme Cannan, Scott Coble and Michael Fikelborn led the members of the Gardner Edgerton High School marching band to a “1” or “superior” rating from four of five judges at the competition. Their renditions of Bond movie them songs, “Live and Let Die,” and “Goldfinger” featured a brass quartet including students Andrew Rose, Brett Lindstrom, Ryan Billups and Blake Swartz.
While members of the bands colorguard performed alongside baton twirlers Mati Diener and Abbie Lane.
The band will be showcased again on Oct. 13 in the Central States Marching Festival at Kansas State University.
