Ten Gardner Edgerton High School football players recently signed national letters of intent to continue their careers in college.
Traevohn Wrench will attend the University of Kansas. Wrench racked up 2,091 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns in 260 carries for the Blazers last season.
Quarterback Jared Hobby will continue his career at William Jewell College, in Liberty, Mo. Hobby leaves GEHS as the career passing leader with 4,235 yards and with 39 career touchdown passes. Wrench and Hobby started 32 straight games for the Blazers.
Logan Powell, a 6-foot, 3-inch, 240-pound defensive end, and Jaylon Radel a 6-foot, 190-pound wide reciever, signed letters to join Emporia State University.
Fort Scott Community College landed a pair of GEHS offensive lineman. Austin Gardner and Donovan Fahy will play football at Ft. Scoot.
Another offensive lineman, Kelly Bromley, signed a letter of intent to play at Saint Mary’s.
Reciever Deontre Kendrick is headed to Hutchinson Community Collegel.
Chris Oathout, a 6-foot, 2-inch, offensive lineman will attend Mid-America Nazarene University.
Troy Periman, a tight end, will attend Baker University.
