Gardner Edgerton students received a welcome reprieve before Spring Break started. Students learned two additional days of school won’t be tacked onto the school year to make up for snow days.
The district has sufficient hours required by the state built into the current calender that officials won’t need to add days to the end of the year.
The last day of school will be May 24 for most students. Pre-school and Kindergarten students will start summer vacation a day earlier leaving the halls of elementary schools on May 23.
Students in first grade through fourth grade will be dimsissed early, at 11:30 a.m., on May 24.
